This was a quick meeting to touch base with everyone on the upcoming Greenbank Trip in April. The trip will last from April 13th through April 14th.
Upfront cost to students: There will be a $25.00 fee for the hotel stay.
Also don't forget to bring money for food.
If you are interested in atteding please make sure to get your money ($25) to Capp Yess no later than Friday, March 9th.

January 20th 2012 Meeting
This meeting covered a variety of topics. Of the most urgency would be the upcoming Perfect North Ski trip, next Friday. We also discussed some of the less immediate trips coming up, such as the KAPT meeting and the Greenback trip.
The club currently has $55.90, after next week we should expect about $400.00
Perfect North Trip date is this upcoming Friday, 1/27/12.
If you are interested in attended the cost is $20.oo.
This fee covers: The ski rental, a lesson as well as 4 hours on the slopes.
You need to let Capp Yess know you are planning on attending by Tuesday, 1/24/12. It is a first come first serve bases, there are 20 seats available. If you have not reserved your spot by Tuesday, the remaining spots will be opened department wide. The $20.00 fee is due by Thursday, 1/26/12
The club will be leaving at 9 a.m. on Friday, from the 1st floor, middle hallway lobby area. We should arrive at Perfect North by 12 p.m. Skiing will be from 12-4 p.m. So we will arrive back in Morehead by 7 p.m. unless you stop for food on the way back.
*Drivers are still needed. If would like to drive please inform Capp, you will be reimbursed for gas.

October 5th 2011 Meeting

Thursday, October 6th is the last day to submit abstracts for the November KAS conference. Mrs. Rhonda Mackin will aid in your registration. It is highly recommended to present if you completed an REU of the summer. This is great for your resume.
“Visit with Madame Curie”- Nov. 3rd
There are two separate performances being put on for this. The afternoon performance is at 11:30, and will be until 1:40, it includes a discussion and lunch, but requires a ticket for admittance. The tickets are free just see Hannah or Julie if you would like one. It is on a first come first serve basis, and there are only 18 tickets.
The second performance is at 7 p.m.in Reed 419. This event is completely open to the public, (no ticket required)
The physics club is sponsoring this event, so be sure to tell your friends. We would like a huge turnout.
*Note* We will need some volunteers to help move some props (furniture) for the performance. If you have some free time please contact Capp Yess (606-783-2989) and let him know your available. Will need help twice once at 8am and then once again after the afternoon performance.

The memebers attending should be ready to leave at 4:30 p.m. in front of the vending machines on the 1st floor of Lappin.
Capp and Brent will be the drivers for this trip. The event is free, you will just need money for dinner.

D.C. is a very diverse place with lots of entertainment options. Once we get there things may completely change. It will just depend on what the group would like to do. Feel free to post suggestions or tell Capp, Hannah, or Julie.
*NOTE* If you want to attend the soccer game Capp needs your Money ($23) no later than Friday, October 07.
